Earlier this week, the Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority of the City of St. Louis (LCRA) closed on its acquisition of a building and 29 vacant parcels at 3940 Dr. Martin Luther King Drive in St. Louis, Mo.

On June 30, 2023, the Board of Aldermen passed legislation revising the North St. Louis Commercial Corridor Grant Program being implemented by St. Louis Development Corporation (SLDC). Board Bill 37 amends Ordinance Number 71504, which created a $37 million grant program for small businesses and non-profits in North St. Louis. The legislative update clarifies applicant eligibility, expands geographic boundaries of the program and streamlines the project review/scoring criteria SLDC will use to evaluate applications.

As of May 30, 2023 — a short 14 months after launching the Small Business Grant Fund — the St. Louis Development Corporation (SLDC) is pleased to announce 900 businesses in all 14 wards across the City of St. Louis have each received a $5,000 grant.
