Green City Coalition Celebrates Peace Park Groundbreaking

The Green City Coalition (GCC) — a partnership between the City of St. Louis, St. Louis Development Corporation, Missouri Department of Conservation and Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District — brought together community members and neighbors to celebrate the first phase of construction at Peace Park in the College Hill Neighborhood.

Through the GCC, SLDC has been working collaboratively with member organizations and neighbors to develop a vision for Peace Park. The result has been to convert vacant and abandoned properties into a new community-owned green space that promotes a healthy, biodiverse and resilient neighborhood.

A ribbon cutting for Pece Park is planned in November 2023.
