SLDC Board of Directors Approve Main Streets Fund

St. Louis, MO (December 19, 2024) — On Thursday, the St. Louis Development Corporation Board of Directors approved up to $350,000 to create a fund to aid businesses surrounding the three St. Louis Main Street organizations and the businesses they support.

Main Street organizations in St. Louis have the opportunity to apply for funding to support their administrative, operational, and programmatic efforts, with a special emphasis on supporting programs to improve safety and expansion for businesses in their respective areas. Dutchtown Main Streets, Laclede’s Landing Main Street, and Delmar Main Street are the three nonprofits who can apply for this funding.

Grants of up to $5,000 per incident to businesses for temporary window or door board-ups, window or door repairs, graffiti removal, damaged murals, sign repair, gate repair, light repair, and other preventative security measures, would be permitted uses under this program.

Interest earned from American Rescue Plan Act funding is being used to pay for this program. The fund is likely to be active sometime in February.
