NEEC Hosts Yeah, I Built That Summer Showcase for Builders of the Future

In June, SLDC was proud to again co-sponsor the Yeah, I Built That Summer Showcase with Construction Forum and SLATE. Hosted under the outdoor pavilion at the Northside Economic Empowerment Center, Yeah, I Built That is a hands-on construction event that brought approximately 200 14 - 24-year-olds together to explore the many career paths in the construction industry available for them to pursue. Attendees had the opportunity to learn about various construction trades through hands-on demonstrations. Yeah, I Built That believes the future of the construction industry stands on the shoulders of the next generation of builders — and if participation in the Summer Showcase is any indication, that future is bright.
